Back in black! And grey. And tribal.

Hello sweeties! I'm back! Hopefully for good this time. I didn't mean to take a little hiatus, but unfortunately life and work got in the way. I busted my back (again; seriously, what is up?), got an infection and a cold. Things have gotten a bit hairy at work because, apparently, doing my job is a bad thing. But we won't get into that as this is a public forum and, really, this isn't the place for getting down!

I hope to have some things in the shop soon. For my sake as well, I miss it! I'm behind on outfit posts, but I will make that up too. I hope. :) To start you off, here are two outfits from this past week.

The first outfit was born out of pure "I don't care". I was tired, as you can tell from my face, and bloated from that very special gift that women receive. Sorry if that was too much information for you, gents. Also, since I am facing a near 20 pound weight gain, I am very self-conscious about my pooch.

And I'm not talking about Genghis.

Boots: Urban Outfitters

The second outfit was worn this past Thursday. I needed something comfortable yet professional looking. I think have missed the mark with the legging part of this outfit, but it's been dreary and rainy this past week. Also, I needed something comfortable for the long drive home to the parents. I don't completely stand by the finished outfit, but I am happy I did it. I completely stand by the idea of trying out something new, even if the end product isn't great. At least I tried!

Boots: Store in Madrid I can't recall

As you can see, my apartment has gotten an addition. Genghis has been a very naughty puppy as of late and action was needed. A family friend lent me their puppy training cage and it seems to be working out! Sure, he still has the occasional flip out, but all in all, he's much more respectful. And quiet. Less loco.

As for the pooch, I'm torn. Part of me is saying, just forget about it. But then when I look in the mirror and see my chub, I get upset. I guess it's not that noticeable and I may be giving myself a bloody nose by saying this, but I think I've managed to hide the weight gain well with appropriately tailored clothing! But a lot of my old clothes don't fit anymore and it's very upsetting that I can't engage in athletic activities as I did before. It's also affected my knee, so if I don't do it for my vanity, I sure as hell should do it for my health.

Well, that's all for now. I promise to be back soon with more goodies! Be they outfit posts or jewelry! :)

Stay tuned!
